Lethbridge High School
Human Practices
Overview
This year, our human practices consisted of several projects concerning community outreach. We were able to give several presentations including to local high schools, city council, MP’s and MLA’s. Through these we spread awareness about iGEM and our project this year. Along with this, we visited the local wastewater treatment plant and have come into contact with the Oldman Watershed Council - a local non-profit organization. On the more creative side, we created an educational children’s book as an introduction to molecular biology, and we are planning to have a synthetic biology themed art exhibit displaying our teams art work. In terms of technology, we created a parts registry app available for all Apple devices.
