document.getElementById("k1").innerHTML="I’ve always had an interest in biology, particularly molecular biology. For me, molecular bio is both more fundamental and contains much more possibility. However, even at a math a science high school, I was really only ever able to pursue this interest in an academic setting that was rather conceptual. Since I started working at Genspace, however, I have been able to accrue hands-on lab experience which has taught me not just skill, but also provided a context for the concepts I learned in AP Biology. iGEM has helped further, because it allows us to design and complete a focused project which is a super important thing to learn and know how to do.";
