The results from the transformation were good: there were 2 red colonies and possibly more-with banana odor, but iso-amyl alcohol is needed to activate the smell (which the school currently does not have). It is not known why only 2 colonies are red, but it might have to do with when the DNA was left sitting out all night a little while ago. Either way, there were colonies. Thus all the steps were done correctly.
